How are unique impressions counted? Are the numbers correct?
We have a different method of counting unique impressions: we only count globally unique impressions as unique. Our numbers differ from those shown in Google Analytics or other ad networks. One IP can be counted as unique every 24 hours across the entire A-ADS network when calculating globally unique impressions. So, when a visitor (considered as one IP) first sees our ads on our publishing sites, it creates a unique impression. It does not make another unique impression throughout the day, regPopularWhat is a unique impression?
A unique impression is an impression generated from an IP address that is unique in the scope of the whole advertising network during a day. If a website visitor has seen any A-ADS banner anywhere today, s/he won't generate a unique impression until tomorrow. If there are several ad units on the same page, only one of them can receive a unique impression (the one that loads first). What's the reason?
Our default metric is the number of globally unique impressions per day. We won't count it as unique if we have already got an impression from the same IP today (no matter who generated it). It's not a problem since we are not a pay-per-impression network and all publishers are in the same position. However, for debugging purposes, we roughly count non-unique impressions too, and you can see the charts on the Stats tab of your ad unit page (https://a-ads.com/adunits/1/stats).
